Welcome Back!

Dear Fifth Grade Friends,
I am so excited that our school year is about to begin! Our journey this year will take us around the world in 180 days. Together, in gifted, we will virtually explore our world and have lots of fun along the way. In preparing for our journey I would love to know where you want to go. If you could learn more about our world or travel anywhere, where would that be?? Please click on the comment box below and directions will appear as to how to add a comment. I can’t wait to hear your ideas!

Your travel guide,
Mrs. Zawis

I look forward to going to many different places as I get older, but I think that the place I look forward to the most is Egypt. I have always been interested in how they built the pyramids and learning about the pharaohs and Egyptian civilization.

I can't wait until we start this year and I am very excited to have you as a teacher again.

If I could go someplace in the world I would go to Paris, France.
I've always wanted to learn some French and I would like to learn how long it took to build the Ifle Tower.

Another one is England. Is it really like what everyone says its like? Castles, kings, queens, knights, guards, princesses? Is it really like a fairy tale?

One more Place.
Tokyo Japan I wan to know why a lot of people live there instead of all of the other places in Japan.

Hi Mrs. Zawis! I have been reading books about vampires all summer. I think I would like to go to and see Transylvania, Romania. According to the books I read, Transylvania is inhabited by a vampire named Vladimir. I am just curious...hmmmn. I wonder how many vampires really lived in Transylvania? Would you like to go with me?

I would want to go to either Moscow,Rome,or Paris i find them very unique and very exciting. I love all the history in some of the structures in the cities and the structures are very different and amaze me by how they different the cities are compared to each other.

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to The Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is homke to 1,500 species of fish, 215 species of birds, and 6 kinds of Sea turtles. It also has 359 types of reef coral. Whales frequently visit The Great Barrier Reef.I would want to go to The Great Barrier Reef tosee and maybe swim with the animals that live there. I think The Great Barrier Reef is very interesting.

I would go to Indiana because I saw the movie Cheetah Girls One World and it looked like a pretty place to go. So I think India would be an interesting and cool place to visit. Brook
